The alternative title for this acrylic was “Numbers Game”, with a specific focus on the number one. In the painting you will notice a solitary sailing boat on the horizon located above the stenciled white and black number one on the pool.
I was inspired to capture the Collaroy sea pool on Sydney’s Northern Beaches because of the afternoon light reflection on the water and rain storm on the horizon. The painting uses a blue palette with use of silver and grey to pick up on the wet edges of the concrete pool. This artwork title was selected in memory of receiving a painting by numbers set on my eighth from Nan and Gran.
